The sound quality is excellent, although the fact that this was originally presented as a double record with "sides" that had to be turned over does turn up every so often - Passage to Bangkok seems Freewill - Rush - Exit.Stage Left (Vinyl come out of left field.
All in all, this is a fine souvenir from the height of their powers. The rest of the tracks are just plain old good, I guess. Get yourself some bad noise and feedback, I prefer stuff that sounds good. Oh, and this is one of LP remasters that is actually a VAST improvement over the original cd, as a bit of brightness was badly needed here The original cd came off as muted compared to the vinyl.
After "Moving Pictures" made my young, 5th grade self into a lifelong Rush fan, when "Exit Stage Left" came out it was played so much on cassette tape that I had to buy another copy! I would bring this cassette into 6th grade and sneak down to the library where me and my friends would pretend to be listening to an audio book while cranking this album!
Until we got caught! So it holds a special place in my youth that I can reminisce on almost 40 years later. Love this live album!
I've had Exit on CD for years, but this reissue vinyl is fabulous. Some say it's got too much bass, but I think it's great. Besides, this is one of the best live albums ever. I'm normally not a fan of live albums. I ordered this just after Neil died and it was on back order.
I haven't noticed any of the defects that others have mentioned on this reissue. I highly recommend! One person found this helpful. Received this from Amazon I came near perfect, one of Freewill - Rush - Exit.Stage Left (Vinyl albums is nicked in the label in the middle. This album plays great and doesn't seem to have the problems that others noted in Broon's Bane.
It does look like it was scuffed there in the pressing, however I don't detect any playback issues. This is the First Rush album that I ever purchased back inand it quickly became one of my most favorite albums of all time.
On Vinyl this album is Pure!!! Therein lies part of the problem, is it really live? What I mean is; what happened to the audience in a lot of the songs? That this record, Rush's second live opus, represent songs from their most successful period is almost beyond discussion. I do really like this record but it is not a great live record, though the songs are all great. Neil Peart has discussed some dissatisfaction with live albums especially this one in particular as being too perfect and clinical.
I happen to agree although many Rush fans will probably bite my head off. Also, space between the songs??? See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Classic live rock album. Absolutely fantastic, it's a must-have album for anyone's collection.
Unfortunately I can't review but then again its an amazing album. My favourite Rush album of all time. Seller immediately refunded. Excellent form! Report abuse. Replacement for some old vinyl. A great album at a great price. Pages with related products.

Please try again later, Freewill - Rush - Exit.Stage Left (Vinyl. Verified Purchase. It looks like the vinyl has been buffed out and wore the grooves down. Two copies I bought have this same problem. It causes skips. I see another reviewer posted this same problem.
Retuned the first purchase and now my second copy Album) a few scratches on Xanadu. I see the other reviewer posted about this problem a few years ago. Looks as if no one seems to care about fixing this issue or maybe no one wrote to tell them about it. I did. The indication I got was that they are going to look into this.
I had attended the Moving Pictures tour and the subsequent Signals tour inwhich was my last Rush concert.
As such, I found that this album brought back some fond memories and is a great souvenir from a time when Rush made some of my favorite music. The track selection is great and Exit Stage Left could easily double as an excellent compilation. The fact that the sound quality is so good, and the audience participation has been severely limited also contributes to the "compilation-like" quality of this album. I think that the performances are excellent and the tunes, although largely played as they appear on record, are changed subtly here and there.
Nice additions include the drum solo on YYZ, the acoustic guitar solo piece "Broon's Bane" that leads into "The Trees" and then Xanaduand the extended electric guitar introduction to a searing version of La Villa Strangiato. Although some people have complained that this album is too polished, the smoothness does not bother me one bit.
I don't like attending live rock performances because of the obnoxious crowds, so the limited audience noise at the end of each track and the sing-along on Closer to Heart did not bother me too much.
This is a live album after all.
