Wimoweh - again with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, is a treat. Heck, the whole CD is a treat.

If you like great music and musicians - you owe it to yourself to have this in your collection. It is so worth it. This a really good one to have in one's collection. Great dance stuff on here, especially the last cut - crank this baby up and Emma - Manu Dibango - Wakafrika (CD into the beats and rythms. It's a hit at gatherings at my place. It is quite a good recording as well. I have a very high end stereo and I know what a difference there is in recordings and this one rates an 8 or 9 in sound quality and engineering.

So if you have a good stereo and like well done sound a bit on the louder side try this one. It is in my all time 50 best CDs to take with me to the lost island. There is also some socially thoughtful stuff on this CD, with some cameos by some great popular musicians. Most unusual. Wonderful, catchy beat. Nice compilation of various rhythms. I highly recommend it. Great songs played well. Joined by noteworthy guest artists.

The used copy showed up pretty banged up but plays well and I had to have this disc! One of the best African musician featuring Angelique k. Highly recommend. I "discovered" Manu Dibango back in college in the early 's and bought this album and some of his older stuff 's vintage. I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th copy of the CD because they never got returned when I let friends borrow it.

Listening again to Emma - Manu Dibango - Wakafrika (CD album Great memories, terrific music and despite being 20 years old Highly recommend this album as you'll get a healthy dose of Manu Dibango plus a warm introduction to other talented artists who make an appearance. The man has a groove and tempo in his music that is just hypnotically entertaining.

I love it!!!! Israel King, Ph. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English. Interesting stuff. Side 1 is exciting and pretty dynamic, Biko version adds the value to the picture. However, the rest of material on all 3 sides of double LP album is kind of slightly boring mixture of known songs put through jazzy sound, Emma - Manu Dibango - Wakafrika (CD not quite my cup of tea, but will give it a chance with more listening sessions.

Production is very good, and quality of the vinyl is great, so one star for that alone.
