Giving this previously unreleased live CD a five-star rating for it's historic significance alone. Gig took place on May 7, at the Volkshaus in Zurich, Switzerland. Apparently it's initially off of an audience cassette recording.

Tracks here that had me giving this disc repeated spins in my home entertainment center were the suitable opener "Bird Of Prey", "I Wanna Be Free", the thirteen-minute "Why" believe this cut never made it onto any actual lpthe eighteen-minute "Salisbury", the eleven-minute ass-kicking "Gypsy" to this very day, Heep still includes this gem on their set-list and the awesome "Lady in Black".

Everything considered, 'Live In Zurich ' is definitely a should-have for all true old school Uriah Heep fans. Easy Livin - Various - Center Stage Live (CD), the sound quality could've been a bit better - but do keep in mind that this show was before "Stealin'" and "Easy Livin'" even saw they light of day.

Rare and very beautiful. The sound quality is just amazing and the material on show is just priceless Salisbury,Bird of prey,dreammare,shadows of grief,why It really is minblowing! Still the loudest and proudest of the bunch for me. Rock on. A unique record of the band on stage inessential for all dedicated fans. Not a studio recording of course, so sound quality is variable.

Maybe an over-indulgence This particular recording was actually done on a sound stage for a small audience of friends, record company execs and some fans. (They had been scheduled to do a TV appearence in the U.S., but blew it off/5(4).

  7. At this point in time they were at their peak. This is a nice introduction to the band as it has their hits from the time, (Easy Living, Sweet Lorraine, Magician's Birthday, Gypsy) as well as an outstanding live performance. It appears there are two versions of this CD available/5(9).
