Not by an inch. But by a mile. Two stars for this one. The poorest "Sabbath" live album. This is definitely Black Sabbath's best live album. I don't know what those other reviewers were smoking but this is a must have for any Sabbath fan. Tony Martin is a lot better live than Ozzy or Dio especially Dio - he sucks live. This album has a well rounded selection of songs from Sabbath's This is really bad. For some reason, Black Sabbath wanted to be just an ordinary heavy metal band after Ozzy left the band.
The result was a lot of boring AOR like heavy metal albums. The innovations from their first six albums was gone.
After Dio, Gillan and Gillen left the band, it w I personally find the Tony Martin Sabbath albums highly enjoyable, some of them I rate as being among Sabbath's finest records, so it saddens me time and time again when I come across another Martin-era live recording, albeit official or bootleg, where his songs obtain a small portion of the s You must be a forum member to post a review, please register here if you are not.

But after listening to it a bunch of times I realized how great it is from beginning to end. Not as good as The Cage disks, but one of the better Tony Martin related side projects. On my cd, the track listing on the back cover is completely different from the actual song order.
Is this true for everyone, or is my cd weird? Tony Martin sings his ass off, and Bobby's throwin' it down, big time. I can hardly wait El Lobo. The drums and guitar are soooo prominent in the mix that the voice and bass are somewhere in a third level behind. I use to listen to my ipod and after this album I always got a headache. I think the mix is pretty horrible.
Some good tunes there, anyway: Naughty dragon is a great song, very catchy and melodic. Tony sounds great and some times his voice has a slighty Gillan sound from the Perfect Strangers era. Not as great as both Dawn - Rondinelli - Our Cross Our Sins (CD albums, but a good work overall.
I only listened to it once so far, but it is pretty good for me. However, I don't like the guitar in it, maybe because I'm comparing it to Iommi's. Some instrumental breaks are also Album) weird to me, and bass is all but inaudible, Album). I need to get the lyrics to fully understand the songs, then maybe I'll be able to say more and yes, I'll also need to listen to the CD once more. I like to call him Tony Iommi" - racer. But it misses a "small" detail to be a great Dawn - Rondinelli - Our Cross Our Sins (CD Joe Siegler.
You should judge the album on it's own merit, not how it compares to someone who isn't even on the album. The live studio recording of " Bullets And Lipstik " gives it a raw and natural sound. Most of the guitar solo's are unaccompanied by a rhythm guitar. The guitar player uses a power chord style that is similar to CC Deville of Poison. The titles of each song are part of the main choruses, which help the listener become familiar with the songs that much quicker.
The lyrical content and rhyming is somewhat simple and corny; songs Album) women, booze, playing in a band, etc. It's sleaze Dawn - Rondinelli - Our Cross Our Sins (CD ala Faster Pussycat. It's too bad that this release didn't get more publicity as it is very underated and went almost unoticed. My guess is that it is long out of print. Tommy Floydthe former vocalist of Pretty Boy Floydrecently sent me the following e-mail regarding some backround history on this album:.
Pete Parker emailed me your review re: Pretty Boy Floyd. Thanks for giving the release as a high a rating as you did. It was during this time, I picked up a copy of BAM Magazine from LA with a glam band advertising they were looking for a final member guitarist for their new project — Pretty Boy Floyd?
I first called my lawyer as we owned the trademark and then called the band to inquire about the project. Assuming I was a guitar player looking for a gig, they answered my questions freely regarding where they came up with the name.
