I really enjoy his rapping and the rock style he has. I recommend this to someone who likes genre mixing like I do. There are a few ok tracks on here but Tommy Lee is going for a mix and he succeeded.

Anyway buy this if you love genre mixing. On this Album. When Tommy Lee left Motley Crue he was heavily criticized for his new musical adventures that he embarked on with Methods of Mayhem, though I liked the album not many did, after he was finished with the touring cycle of the album he went home and reevaluated his career and decided to disband MOM and put out a solo album, and here it is: Never A Dull Moment, not that i need to give the inspiration for the title.

The album opens with Afterglow which is a midtempo rock song, great vocals and music. Next song, Hold Me Down, was the first single off the album and actually recieved airplay before radio abandoned Album) album. There are also some really heavy moments on the album such as Sunday, Higher, and Body Architects, which sound amazing, that's definately what Tommy should be doing, making hard rock songs. The one low point of the album is his version of Fame by David Bowie, I honestly don't know what he was thinking with this one, there's actually not one redeeming quality about the song.

Face to Face is another uptempo metal song, personally I think it's about Kid Rock but i don't know for sure. The last song on the album is People So Strange, one of my favorites, great rhythm to it, great vocals, very catchy.

The album closes with Mr. Never A Dull Moment is the follow up to his Methods of Mayhem project which i highly enjoyed because Tommy actually does rap well. This CD is nonstop exciting and a great listen being as it is next to Methods of Mayhem my all time fav album! Tommy can sing better than Vince Neil if you ask me and he proves it here with this rocker.

  1. Feb 18,  · Never A Dull Moment () is Lee's first full-fledged solo album. There are echoes of Mötley Crüe as from The Methods Of Mayhem on hear back but there is also experimented with electronic rhythms. That is an unexpected step for Lee but it delivers hardly exciting music on. The superfluous cover of David Bowie's Fame is a low point/5(52).
  2. Never A Dull Moment () is then ex-Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee's second solo effort. The first was Methods Of Mayhem (), which was rap and hip-hop. Lee got away from doing exclusively rap and hip-hop for Never A Dull Moment. This album does contain some elements of rap and hip-hop, but it's watered down and appears far less frequent.4/4(50).

  4. And for the most part, Never a Dull Moment sounds more organic than Methods of Mayhem 's album, which gave the impression that Lee was trying a little too hard to be contemporary (by late-'90s standards) and prove to the world that there was more to him than "Shout at the Devil" and "Girls, Girls, Girls"; even so, Methods of Mayhem 's debut was, despite its 6/
  5. Tommy Lee Hits a Home Run I approached this album as a hard-core right wing conservative breast-fed on Patsy Cline, The Delmore Brothers, The Eagles, a bunch of prog rock slop to embarrassing to mention, and other such pabulum. As such I had low expectations from Tommy Lee, since I spurned most of the Motley Crue catalog in its day.
